Develop design concept for the lobby, work with carpentry team to design custom cabinetry, welcome desk, and accent wall, and manage budgets and purchasing for project.
I was hired to redesign and refresh the Victory College front office into a space that felt inviting, professional, and modern — a place that warmly welcomes guests and prospective students while functioning as an efficient workspace for college staff and faculty.
The project came with a few unique design challenges, including an immovable column in the center of the room, a limited budget, and the need to incorporate existing furniture pieces. To address these, I designed a custom built-in storage system that cleverly anchored the space and camouflaged the column in an intentional, beautiful way. I sourced furniture that coordinated seamlessly with what was already in place, creating an updated and unified aesthetic.
The result is a cohesive, functional environment that balances aesthetics with practicality — transforming a challenging layout into a space that now serves both purpose and presence.
