Easter 2024

The project brief was to creatively support the theme for Easter weekend this year, "Proof". With a theme this abstract, it was the perfect opportunity to lean into the artistic and introspective.

The focal point for this installation was a large mirrored cross set on a square black base in the middle of the lobby. We wanted to communicate the Gospel through this piece, using red of the flowers to represent the blood of Jesus while also incorporating a color gradient of black, red, pink, and white to show the redemptive power of the cross. The cross is mirrored to keep the color story in the flowers prominent, but primarily so the viewers could see themselves in the cross, reinforcing the theological truth that on the cross, Jesus took the sins of every person upon Himself.

We wanted the whole vibe to be elevated and minimal, allowing the cross and the story in the foliage to be the focus. We placed pedestals throughout the main and side lobbies and affixed small floral moments to those to carry the theme throughout the spaces. On each of the pedestals and on the cross's base, we attached key phrases and words, emphasizing the theme of the weekend, but we chose to paint these the same colors as the pedestals to keep the clean aesthetic and to allow us to play with light and shadow, further nodding at the theme of redemption and resurrection.
